Is Congress planning to provide relief for the many job seekers who may remain unemployed through year end 2008, the deadline for finding employment to qualify for 2008 dependent care expense deductions? My wife has allocated 2 days a week to see employers, agencies and networking to find a job. Therefore, we have placed our child in daycare for these 2 days as paid for through my our FSA as I am thankfully employed. If she doesn't find work by year end then we will loose our dependent care deduction placing more stress on our financial condition.
